Yes, you can mix different export pallet sizes in one shipping container. However, combining export pallets of various sizes in one container creates gaps and waste space you’re paying for. Stick with one size if possible – 1200x1000mm or 1100x1100mm works best. Your loading crew will thank you.
HT (Heat Treatment) and MB (Methyl Bromide) are two ISPM-15 approved treatments for export pallets. HT treatment uses high temperatures (minimum 56°C for 30 minutes) to eliminate pests and is environmentally safe. MB treatment uses methyl bromide gas fumigation, but is being phased out due to environmental concerns. Most Australian export pallets now use HT treatment, which is accepted worldwide.
